Dental Implants in Moscow
Whether you’re missing a single tooth or need to replace several, dental implants can help restore your smile and make eating and speaking more comfortable.
At Studio 32, we look beyond the missing tooth. Our implant surgeons and restorative dentists work together to plan treatment around your bone structure, gum health and bite, with the aim of creating a restoration that looks natural, feels comfortable and functions well over time.
Who can benefit from dental implants?
Dental implants are an option for replacing:
- A single missing tooth, whether at the front or back of your mouth
- Several missing teeth, with individual implants or an implant-supported bridge
- A full set of upper or lower teeth, using a fixed full-arch restoration
- Teeth that cannot be saved, due to extensive damage, decay or advanced gum disease
Implants can also be an alternative to removable dentures, particularly if your current dentures feel uncomfortable, move when you eat or make speaking difficult.
Are implants suitable for everyone?
Not necessarily. Successful implant treatment depends on several factors, including your general health, gum condition and the amount and quality of bone available.
Smoking, uncontrolled diabetes, certain medications and some medical conditions can increase the risk of complications. They do not always rule out treatment, but they need to be considered carefully.
Your implant surgeon will review your medical history and examine your teeth, gums and jawbone before recommending a treatment plan.
How does dental implant treatment work?
Implant treatment usually involves several stages, from the initial examination to fitting your final teeth. The number of visits and overall timeline depend on your individual case.
1. Consultation and planning
We begin by examining your teeth, gums and bite, reviewing your medical history and assessing the available bone.
Where appropriate, we use 3D CBCT imaging and digital planning software to evaluate the treatment area and plan the position of your implants.
Your first consultation at Studio 32 is free.
You’ll have the opportunity to discuss the different options, ask questions and understand the likely costs before deciding whether to proceed.
2. Preparing for treatment
Before placing an implant, we need to make sure your mouth is healthy enough for surgery.
This may involve treating gum disease, addressing decay or removing teeth that cannot be saved. If there isn’t enough bone to support an implant, your surgeon may recommend bone grafting or a sinus lift.
Not everyone needs these additional procedures.
3. Placing the implant
The implant, a small titanium or titanium-alloy post, is placed into the jawbone to act as an artificial tooth root.
The procedure is usually carried out under local anaesthesia, so the area is numb. Sedation or general anaesthesia may also be available when appropriate.
In selected cases, we use a surgical guide prepared from digital scans to help position the implant according to the treatment plan.
4. Temporary teeth, when appropriate
You may be able to receive a temporary crown or bridge while the implant heals.
In some cases, temporary teeth can be fitted on the same day as surgery. In others, the implant needs to heal before it can safely support a restoration.
Your surgeon will explain what is possible in your case.
5. Healing
Over the following months, the implant gradually bonds with the surrounding bone. This process is known as osseointegration.
Healing commonly takes several months, although the timeframe varies depending on the implant site, bone quality and whether additional procedures were needed.
We’ll arrange follow-up appointments to check that healing is progressing as expected.
6. Fitting your final teeth
Once the implant is ready, we fit your permanent restoration: a crown, bridge or full-arch prosthesis. Your final teeth are made in our own in-house dental laboratory.
Your restorative dentist checks its fit, appearance and how it works with your bite. You’ll also receive advice on cleaning and looking after your new teeth.
Which dental implant brands do we use?
At Studio 32, we work with several established implant systems, allowing our surgeons to choose an option suited to your clinical needs and budget.
Straumann, Astra Tech and Nobel Biocare
Well-established implant manufacturers with extensive clinical histories and a range of systems for different restorative needs.
Dentium, including Implantium and SuperLine
Implant systems that offer an alternative at a lower price point.
The most expensive system is not automatically the best choice for every patient. Your surgeon will recommend an implant based on your bone structure, the position of the missing tooth, the planned restoration and other clinical considerations.
We also work with Dentsply Sirona, the company behind Astra Tech implants.
From a single missing tooth to a full set of teeth
There are several ways to restore missing teeth with dental implants. The right option depends on how many teeth need replacing, the condition of your jawbone and your treatment goals.
- Single dental implant. A single implant supports an individual crown, replacing a missing tooth without needing to prepare the neighbouring healthy teeth for a conventional bridge.
- Implant-supported bridge. When several teeth are missing, a bridge can sometimes be supported by fewer implants than the number of teeth being replaced.
- All-on-4 and All-on-6. These techniques use four or six implants to support a full arch of replacement teeth. They may be suitable for patients who have lost most or all of their teeth or whose remaining teeth cannot be saved.
- Bone grafting and sinus lifts. If the jawbone cannot adequately support an implant, additional procedures may be needed to build or preserve bone.

Dental implants with sedation
Feeling nervous about dental surgery is common, especially if you’re facing a longer or more complex procedure.
At Studio 32, suitable patients may have implant treatment under sedation or general anaesthesia.
Our in-house Chief Anaesthesiologist, Dr Svetlana Sofi, oversees anaesthesia care and assesses which approach is appropriate for each patient.
Your treatment team will explain the available options, what to expect and any necessary preparations before your appointment.

Implant warranties and long-term care
Dental implants are designed to provide long-term tooth replacement, but they still need looking after. Healthy gums, good oral hygiene and regular dental check-ups are important for keeping implants in good condition.
Studio 32 offers:
- 10-year warranty on implants under the clinic’s applicable warranty terms
- Manufacturer’s lifetime product warranty on eligible implant systems
- Up to 10 years’ warranty on prosthetic restorations, depending on the restoration
Warranty coverage is subject to specific conditions, including following aftercare advice and attending the required check-ups. A manufacturer’s product warranty is not the same as a guarantee that the implant or restoration will last a lifetime.
We’ll explain the relevant terms before treatment.

Frequently asked questions about dental implants
Is dental implant surgery painful?
Implants are usually placed under local anaesthesia, which numbs the treatment area. You may feel some pressure during the procedure, but you should not feel sharp pain. Some soreness, swelling or bruising afterwards is normal. Your surgeon will explain how to manage discomfort and what to do if you experience severe, worsening or persistent pain.
Is there an age limit for dental implants?
There is no fixed upper age limit. Implants can be suitable for patients in their 70s, 80s or beyond, provided their general health and oral condition allow it. For younger patients, implants are generally considered only once jaw growth is complete.
Can I have dental implants if I smoke or have diabetes?
Possibly. Both smoking and poorly controlled diabetes can increase the risk of complications and implant failure. Good diabetes management and stopping smoking can improve the prospects for treatment. Your surgeon will assess your individual risks and discuss whether implants are appropriate.
How long does dental implant treatment take?
Placing an implant may require just one surgical appointment, but the complete treatment usually takes longer. The implant generally needs several months to bond with the bone before the final restoration is fitted. Some patients can receive temporary teeth sooner, while others may need additional time for bone grafting or healing. We’ll explain the expected schedule after examining your mouth.
Can several missing teeth be replaced with an implant-supported bridge?
Yes. In many cases, a bridge can be supported by two or more implants, replacing several missing teeth without placing an individual implant for every tooth. The number and position of implants depend on the length of the gap, bone support and the forces the restoration will need to withstand.
How should I care for dental implants?
Implants need much the same daily attention as natural teeth. Brush twice a day, clean carefully around the implant and use interdental brushes or other cleaning aids recommended by your dentist. Regular professional cleaning and examinations are also important. Your dentist will recommend an appropriate schedule based on your gum health and individual risk factors. Immediately after surgery, you’ll receive specific instructions on eating, cleaning the surgical area and returning to normal activities.
Can I arrange implant treatment before travelling to Moscow?
Yes. If you live outside Moscow, contact our team before booking your trip. We can discuss your situation, explain which dental records may be useful for an initial review and help you understand what appointments might be required. Implant treatment often involves several visits over a period of months, so it’s important to plan around the surgical, healing and restorative stages.
Are consultations available in English?
Yes. At Studio 32, consultations, written treatment plans and follow-up care are available in English. Our team can explain your treatment options, answer your questions and help you understand the next steps.
